Stop everything you are doing. Yes, right now - put your phone down, stop responding to your friend’s text, and that Instagram caption can wait.

Take a breath in. . . and a giant exhale out let it go.

One more time even DEEPER now. Inhale let your lungs fill up, now really fill them up as MUCH as you can . . .yes keep filling . . . now hold it for a few seconds at the top . . . exhale let it go.

Feel more calm, relaxed, and centered? If so, great you’re one of the few people I’ve met where taking a few breaths has calmed everything down.

If not, welcome to the other 98% of the population (myself included) where we need that little extra push, that nudge into the “zen like” state we are all after.

For me, this is what yoga provides. It’s that much needed secondary way to not only dive into a deeper sense of mind and self, but to most importantly RELAX and take a few moments for yourself out of your chaotic life. As a yoga practitioner and instructor for over 2 years, I have come to appreciate how music heavily influences our thought patterns and overall well being. I have learned to recognize the subtle nuances in songs that allow students (and myself) to get the most out of yoga and their practice, and with this playlist I hope to help you achieve just that. Whether that be flowing through a 90 minute vinyasa class, or letting your mind slip into the deepest realms of your consciousness for a mere 10 minutes on your commute to work, this playlist is for you.

So pause your chaotic life, breathe, and listen - your path to taming your wild mind begins by hitting play.
