We all experience stress in our lives and we all have different ways of coping with it. Personally, music and outdoor meditation help me a lot when I am experiencing lots of “brain noise.” If we share the same stress-relieving methods, then this is the playlist for you. After a tough week, a picnic on a warm day is a great way to get some headspace through appreciation of the nature around you. A picnic can also be a great way to spend time with your family, friends, or a significant other.

Music that fits the relaxing and refreshing mood of a great picnic can only enhance the experience. This playlist will feature warm and sunny neo-soul, contemporary and alternative r&b, jazz, and soulful rap tracks. However, the playlist won’t be strictly exclusive to these genres. I believe that the environment you are in has a massive influence on your opinion of a certain track. So, I want to do these tracks justice and place them in a playlist where they will shine the most.

If you like what you hear, then join me every week as I share tracks that will feed your soul and compliment your picnic experiences.

About The Curator - Mussie Fitsum

Mussie Fitsum - Music to Curator

I am a student at the University of Maryland, College Park where I am studying Criminal Justice and Criminology with a minor in International Development and Conflict Management. After college, I want to get my law degree and practice criminal law. I am also a big music lover that listens to r&b, hip-hop, rock, reggae, and pop. But, I am also trying to expand my taste in music as much as I can to appreciate the different amount of genres out there. I also started a music blog in August 2018; so if you like reading interesting takes on music and concert opinions, then give it a glance.
