Many people focus on the past and worry about the future, however these behaviors hinder ourselves from living happy lives. The goal of this playlist is to help listeners focus on living in the moment by listening to music that has positive messages about life.
Songs tell stories through beats and sounds, it is important for people to listen, and to not be consumed by their anxiety and past experiences. One can attain peace with oneself after accepting that they can't control the universe but only their decisions in the universe. That decision is to live in the moment and not let anxieties about the future or past experiences haunt us while we live in the now.
I hope this playlist encourages you to be a better version of yourself and to live each day as it is and not stress about things that can't be controlled. Just go with the flow and let the current take you where it takes you, trying to fight the current will not bring you to where you want to be.
Listen to the different genres of music in this playlist, some R&B, Alternative, Pop, and Rock can be what you focus on. What instruments do you hear? Focus on the rhythm, and let the rhythm take you where you want to go. If the rhythm takes you to a fear, think why do you keep coming back to this fear. How can you allow yourself to not let the fear consume you in the present, maybe you need to focus your energy on something that makes you happy in the present and from listening to music to drawing that could be anything you want.

About The Curator - Caylyn Downey
I am a college student in northeast America studying neuroscience, music, and studio art. I am interested in art and music therapy to help teach mindfulness. My goal is to understand how playing and listening to music and doing art can help teach you to live in the moment. In this day and age, many people are stuck in the past or predicting and worrying about the future. My goal as a music curator is to encourage people to limit their worrying and to focus on what is happening right now. I have always made playlists that many of my friends have enjoyed, it is something I enjoy to do as well because music has always been a huge part of my life. I want listeners to be able to only think about what they hear and see in the moment, this way their worries and fears will not be consuming them.
