This week is all about dancing. This song is a light up dance floor, the gentle brush of people moving around you, the way your hair sticks to the back of your neck. This song is about finding the closest thing to heaven, the way a song can touch humans of all walks of life to move. This song is the way that dancing makes you smile, almost involuntarily. This song is a million colors, satin and silk and cotton and suede, warm and so so cool. This song is a celebration of why music is magic, it's ability to bring us together in shared joy. This song is sweaty, this song is funky, this song is throwing your head back in laughter, smiling at a stranger, and the way your feet ache as you take your shoes off when you get home.
If you can't enjoy this song, if you can't love the feeling it brings you, then I don't know what to tell you. Maybe you don't dance enough? Just a thought. Remember when you were a kid at a concert, dancing totally unimpaired by alcohol, totally oblivious to the world around you, totally in the bliss of music? I do, find that feeling again this week and dance. Youth is a feeling, grab it and never let go.
