This track doesn't apologize for anything, and still urges the listener to dance. Le Tigre created a queer anthem that celebrates punk and techno, and holds that balance throughout. It's a rallying cry, with a hook.
My favorite part of the track is the lyrics "Who took the Bomp from the Bompalompalomp?
Who took the Ram from the Ramalamading-dong?" because it takes doo-wop and yells it, and invites us to yell it back. It catches me off-guard no matter how many times I listen.
This track sets Le Tigre apart from other Riot Grrrl artists in how it celebrates so many different elements, like the scratchy riffs in between "How are you?" "Fine, thank you." They're short, punchy and isolated. Each sound is deliberate in its goal to get the listener to dance recklessly.

About The Curator - Abby Yaeger
Abby Yaeger always keeps an eye out for the weird and the wonderful. As a journalism student in Montreal, she walks whenever she can, usually without any specific destination in mind. Weather permitting, she’ll sometimes stop and sketch, or just sit and watch the people that pass by.
