Seeking respite, we enter a foyer clad in metallic beads. The chrome refracts white midday light, figures waltz on the concrete floor. We wander through squinting, our steps echoing, scratching. The halls beyond snake into oblivion, rooms with well-tuned pianos, fresh cotton curtains. We sit, unbothered, feel a warm breeze pass us by.
It begins with dull organic thuds. Several chambers rotate around us, a wind chime our tireless anchor. Piano falls in droplets as the same dull thumping pushes harder. We hear the ghost of a whisper, the stress of wood bending. A pleasant drone creeps in and dissipates, repeating itself. Perhaps we stay a spell.
