My boyfriend at the time introduced me to Morcheeba, I hadn’t heard anything quite like it, the simple and clear lyrics describing somebody’s memory of their time at the sea. The melody blended perfectly with the velvet voice of Skye Edwards. Can nature give us the balance we seek, when our day to day is filled with noise, people, screens and hustle?
Time flies….or does it? That was 16 years ago, as I write this now, I am thinking about all the happenings that I can remember from those years. There were plenty of busy times, and plenty of times that weren’t busy. My most relaxed memories being outside, usually with a drink or other such catalyst to relaxation, staring at a fire, listening to some birds, can I follow their sweet song with my ear to see with my eye. The more my senses are immersed in my surroundings the more I am connected to them. I am here now, really here. It feels good, It is all I am, and it is enough.
I married that man.

About the Curator: Erin Murray
Erin, a Mother of 1 little man and wife to 1 big man has learnt much about herself in the past few years. After moving from the city to the bush (near the Ocean), there weren’t as many distractions as she had become accustomed to, in a smaller community she lost her anonymity and slowly began to become aware of herself, her feelings, the life she had created for herself and her relationships with others. Seeking change from the feelings and behaviors which had become her normal, she sought out methods to do just that. Slowly at first, then a bit more and a bit more she is becoming aware of what she actually wants for herself and has begun removing the things that aren’t that, inside and out. Learning about faith (not religionJ), fun and how to be gentle with herself and others along the way.
