I do have a story as how I came to this track. I was staying in Nuremberg for a few days between events in Strasbourg and Prague and took the time to lock myself away in an airbnb and study for my PhD. I’ll admit I went on tinder and ended up meeting this awesome woman called Niculina from Romania who’d move to Nuremberg. After hanging out I asked her favourite song and she recommended this one. For me this song is about serendipity that in that trip I could be introduced to music and broaden my sonic horizons. I listened to this tune on the tram back to the apartment I was staying in and aside from thinking Niculina is pretty darn cool for choosing this song, I used it to forget the work of the day and dream what it would be like living in another country.
This song maybe is come down for those other nights where you meet fascinating new people and wonder about the possibilities life has for you. It’s probably more on for public transport so you can sit amongst other people but still be a million miles away. The song is so chilled out that Matthew Caws’ voice turns to liquid velvet in your ears. You will most likely end up mouthing the song and attempt to create a music video in your head, so just go with it, this is a perfectly natural feeling.
