The moment I stumbled upon this track, I like to consider it a hidden gem. It comes from her album, Putting On Airs, which was released last 2018.
The abrupt static sound at the beginning of the track may throw you off, I mean I wasn’t expecting the entire song to flow this way after hearing that, but I was delightfully surprised. This folk track is perfect for park days or just sitting on the grass. I just really enjoy the soft energy it brings out. And actually, this gives me a similar sound to Katie Queen of Tennessee by The Apache Relay for some reason.
You have to check out her live performance!
The setting is exactly like how you’d imagine it to be. Just think of an old, small bar in the middle of nowhere, where you order yourself a drink and simply enjoy the music. Cause you know, sometimes all you need is a drink and some mind-calming tracks and you’re all set.
In all honesty, the entire album is a soothing experience. From her song June Bug
to Wild Blue Wind
All the way to her soft end with Pretend. This is definitely a track to take a break to.
Gotta give them a listen! and if you wanna know more about Erin Rae and her upcoming tracks check her out here!
