So - you’re all back at school eh?
Well - clearly - most of you aren’t actually in school - even if you’re “in” school ‘cos - Covid - but that doesn’t stop teachers and professors cranking up the reading requirements and pressing for their first papers.
It’s tough - I mean we just spent 6 months on an emotional roller coaster - I don’t know about you but my available bandwidth is pretty diminished - and shit hasn’t changed. Regardless of the new normal, we still have to show up and apply our minds, create our constructs and present our arguments - but instead of experiencing the collegiate buzz of the library, or coffee shop or even classroom - we’re stuck in the same bloody chair that we’ve been in for months.
And that’s the challenge - how do we stop ourselves from going stale - how do we keep our interest and energy up when we can’t move? That’s where tracks like Sunrise or Sunset come in, here’s what Jeff had to say when he submitted the track:
“As more of us figure out ways to work from home, it's more important than ever to find creative ways to escape our confinement. I find that music is the best escape as it can easily transmit me to another dimension where I can be creative, more calm, and basically a better human. My track Sunrise or Sunset was inspired by the creative flow of working from home, being chill and not knowing if the light through the curtains is Sunrise or Sunset but the moment is bliss.”
It’s brilliant!

About the Curator: Andrew McCluskey
The first visual memory I have is that of the white upright piano in Singapore, Hell and the Dark Forces lived at the bottom, Heaven and the Angels at the top, they would play battles through my fingers and I was hooked.
As a psychology graduate I studied how sound affects human performance.
As a musician I compose instrumental music that stimulates your brain but doesn't mess with your language centers, leaving you free to be creative and brilliant without distraction.
As a curator I research how music can improve your life and create flow - I can tell you what music to listen to when studying for a test and why listening to sad music can make you feel better.
As the founder of musicto I’m on a mission to inspire a global audience of music lovers and artists through the development of people powered playlists.
