First things first, this track is hitting like a ton of thick bricks. The drums alone will make you want to get up and love somebody. Krasno is beyond legendary and prolific at this point. He has proven to be much more than a founding member of Soulive and Lettuce. He has traveled far beyond being one of the strongest and most soulful guitar players of the last 20 years. It turns out Kraz is just as passionate and relevant as a songwriter, producer, and singer too.
Vacant is a little on the dark side, but undeniably grooved out. Some nonchalance, some space, and a whole lotta heavy. The vocal is melodic and well expressed. The keys on this track are all sorts of tasty. Each section is put together well. Fans of big, saturated drum sounds can jump for joy. The creative, all-knowing feel of the lyrics fits the song niceley. It's just a hot track worthy of being played at a high volume, but all this needn't even be said because we all know Kraz knows what he's doing.
