It's Orgone. Present day upholders of the funk. Picture On The Wall is a fresh, stand-out type of groove from their vast catalog. An original sounding tune indeed, perhaps Funkadelic inspired in some places? Either way, this track takes you on a ride to the sun and back, because it's hot like that.
Before arriving at the thick main groove, tasty vocals, and cool lyrics, there's a kaleidoscopic intro to bask in. Orgone always displays exquisitely dirty tones and nostalgic production. Top-notch. Somebody turned the Leslie on. There are many sections to this song, but not in a bad way. Each is ideal, and stitched together nicely with justly placed parts. Is this song about the dangers of Facebook? This is a prime track to turn up loud, and listen deeply to, or get Or-Gone to.
