Sometimes certain music can knock you out upon first listen because of its uniqueness and energy. That's what is happening here. And it's good because being uniquely yourself is exactly what Quinn is singing about on this hot track. Feel Free sounds alive and breathing as it unfolds and develops. It's a recording with an original sounding groove and production ambience about it. A burst of funky motivation that seems like it just had to come out.
"There's no right or wrong, it's a feeling." Nice lyrics/vocals/harms. Tasteful keys of all types are at play. Fat drums and cool textures swaying in and out are a good thing. Horns playing it just right. The unconventional intro and outro are a good thing. An envelope filter is always welcome. It is what it is. It ain't what it ain't. Lets just boogie and let it do its thing.
