As the strings ease into the onset of CIAA with the light percussion driving in the background, it’s as if LeiKeli47 is welcoming you into her neighborhood by taking you on a ride through the streets she was raised, and letting you into her mental, getting a glimpse into her perspective. 47 let's you in on some of the ills and hardships her neighborhood goes through, not in a manner of blaming or finger pointing, but in a soft tone. A tone one would speak with when describing his or her home and/or family. As she spoke to Dj Booth’s Donna-Claire Chesman about the sound and overall theme with her new album, Leikeli47 expressed,
“I’m inviting you guys into my world, onto my avenues and onto my streets”
While she is inviting listeners into her world and her neighborhood on CIAA, 47 masters a way of letting you in then pulling it back to create the feeling of wanting to hear more from the creative emcee. After all she expressed of the ills in her community, she ends the opening verse with “And you ask me, how could this be? I will tell you how...” Right after, the track begins to hit a bounce with added infectious guitar riffs and 47 assuring listeners, “After I run these streets, I’ll tell you what you wanna know. After I go get what I’m owed.” The structure and technique of opening up then pulling your cards back to your chest continues throughout the track, and is essentially an ode to the way LeiKeli47 maintains a level of anonymity and mystique to her artistry and identity.
LeiKeli47 hits a sweet spot on this track. She is able to serenade us sweetly into her neighborhood and her perspective- something we didn’t hear much of on her previous works- and was still able to get into her pocket. As the great emcee she is, LeiKeli47 created a head nodding and introspective track that calls for a handful of playbacks.

About The Curator - KA II
I was raised in a community that believes in and practices the act of love, spirituality, understanding, and openness. These beliefs and practices are my foundation in this life and continue to drive my pursuit of knowledge, wisdom, and freedom. I also come from a place where the gift of rhythm and movement are interwoven into each other and into the fabric of life. It is never one without the other.
Music and Dance are not just things we do and enjoy. They are a necessity. In times of joy we dance, in times of triumph we turn the music up a little louder, in times of stress and unbalance we close our eyes and dance. It is how we feel our emotions and what ignites our creativity, intellectual abilities, and the way we see the world. Without the two, life would have no color, art, love, or culture.
Music and movement have always been the guiding light of creativity and the master teacher, therefore I aim to share how they elevate my mind, heart, and soul to think wider and to think with compassion, wit, and intellect. I hope you enjoy the content. Peace
