Your daily dose of feel-good indie pop - cause‘ every night-time drive isn’t all doom and gloom!
While the growing stresses and uncertainties of daily life may be somewhat resembling the build up of dishes in your own kitchen sink (well in mine at least!), I’ve been finding myself reaching this week for music to uplift - and I’m glad to say, that The Big Moon are here and providing a big joy!
Talking on the track, lead vocalist and songwriter Juliette Jackson, reflects on the song’s thematic exploration of freedom;
“This song is about freeing yourself from all of it, just for a moment. It’s a thanks to the one person or thing in your life that knows how to come in and open your curtains and light up the darkness and restore your strength so that when you clatter back down into the real world you have the strength to fight your battles, whatever they are.”
So whatever you’re freeing yourself from this week - may it be work-related, worry-related, or even a fully stacked kitchen sink - make yourself a priority and most of all - restore your light!
