I'm feeling nostalgic again this week. I think I was born a couple decades late, should have been a teenager in the late 60s. So much of what formed me and still has maybe the most impact on me musically, especially in terms of hard rock is from the early 70s.
In that vein I chose a track that I love from that era, Mountain's "Nantucket Sleighride". I think this band is underrated and outside of musicians and die hard rock fans doesn't get the love they deserve. Their influence is far reaching and one listen to songs like this one show why. It's an odyssey of sorts starting off with a mellow groove and builds to their signature hard rock stomp that just begs to be cranked to eleven.

About The Curator - Danny Gordon
Danny's love affair with music started around the time he could walk. He spent countless hours in front of the record player going through his parents collection and experimented with playing violin, piano, and guitar before finding his voice on the bass in his teens.
Danny began playing in local bands in Los Angeles while studying music, eventually landing at Berklee College of Music in 1998. Following his graduation in 2001 Danny returned home and continued his career as a recording and touring bassist, most notably working with former STP singer Scott Weiland.
Danny continues to stay active in the local scene and is a devoted father teaching his children about the music he loves.
