Have you ever just wanted to shut out everything around you and be transported to another part of the world where everything is different and new and exciting.
La Luna allows you to do exactly that. Hindi Zahra is a Moroccan singer and actress. She sings primarily in English but some tracks like La Luna are in her native Berber language, spoken by the Berber people of Maghreb. La Luna features on her second studio album Homeland released in 2015.
I first heard this track on a weekend trip in Strasbourg when my friend introduced me to it, in the midst of a jam session suited to Friday nights spent indoors. I was sold at the first few chords which promise a richly textured track. Little did I expect the vocals to be offered by a voice so tentative and caressing as Hindi Zahra's. It's been nearly a year since I first heard the song and ever since, I've loved it deeply.
Let yourself travel with La Luna.
