When you think of the south most don’t think about the fact that Virginia is actually a part of the south. So a lot of dope records, artist and producers get left out because of this. There is a group of people from this area that helped shape what hip-hop is today.
I think anyone who is a fan of Missy Elliott heard this record and right away started to cheer. We seem to cheer her on and like a bunch of addicts wait patiently for more music from her. A lot of the artist of today are probably younger than quite a bit of her music and don’t even realize they get a lot of the sounds they use from her. This record is her 2017 contribution to the growth of southern hip-hop. I hope you guys enjoy smacking your lips and bobbing your head to this one as much as me.
