This absolutely spellbinding song feels like the early morning sky over Kottbusser Tor. It’s gray all around, someone’s mumbling their drunken (stoned?) promises, but you know that the only real thing that remains for you to hold onto in this mess are just some empty bottles and hopefully the deposit you'll get when you bring them back to the supermarket.

This track by the Australian band Crime & the City Solution (notable for once having Rowland S. Howard on guitar and backing vocals) really is quite mesmerizing and definitely contributed to the success of the Wim Wenders “Wings of Desire”, a movie that takes a closer look at the hopes and dreams of the people living in the divided Berlin.

Seeded by Michalina Gorajek, The Grass Harp
